RME presents an exclusive special edition of the legendary Fireface 800: the Fireface 802 FS AE, celebrating its 20th anniversary.

The new model impresses with its elegant, dark design, inspired by the successful ADI-2 series. The Fireface 802 FS AE is technically identical to the Fireface 802 FS and offers the same powerful features and functions such as 60 audio channels, high-end microphone preamps, reference-class converters, a complete electronics section and operation at up to 192 kHz. SteadyClock FS active jitter suppression, DC-coupled outputs for all eight analogue line outputs, individually switchable reference levels for all inputs and outputs, full stand-alone functionality, the DigiCheck metering and analysis toolbox, and identical operation under Windows PC and Mac complete the package. The optional class-compliant mode (full 30-channel I/O at up to 192 kHz) and operation with TotalMix FX for iPad are also included. RME's app for full control of the Fireface 802 FS AE from the iPad gives you full control over the device - without a computer. The alternative CC mode can be easily activated via a recessed button on the back of the interface. TotalMix FX, including the latest Room EQ feature, can also be controlled via the USB-A port for direct connection to the optional ARC USB or the ARC USB (Black Edition)

TotalMix FX & DigiCheck NG

The Fireface 802 FS AE comes with the DSP mixer TotalMix FX, which offers extensive routing and monitoring options, as well as the DigiCheck NG Analyzer, which measures and analyzes the digital data stream in both directions with maximum precision. TotalMix FX can completely replace an external mixer, allowing the creation of multiple latency-free monitor mixes with EQ, dynamics, reverb and delay for any output, including main monitor and headphone mixes for musicians.

In addition, the Fireface 802 FS AE features the room EQ known from the Fireface UFX III with 9-band PEQ, Delay, Volume Calibration and Crossfeed - four very useful features for speaker surround setup and optimized headphone usage.

Femtoseconds for clocking

With SteadyClock FS, the Fireface 802 FS AE features RME's latest clock and jitter rejection technology. Based on a femtosecond clock, SteadyClock FS reduces the Fireface 802 FS AE's intrinsic jitter to an absolute minimum and filters clock jitter down to 1 Hz efficiently.
