RME - Learn how to update your ADI-2 DAC FS firmware

RME products have been known for their outstanding sound quality and longevity for decades. Ongoing developments through firmware updates guarantee a long-term use of the products. Especially the ADI-2 series has received numerous optimizations and new features in the last years. This video shows you how to update the firmware of the ADI-2 DAC FS.

First, go to the Download- or Product page and download the Flash Update Tool, which will allow you to update the firmware of the DAC.

Clicking on the Downloads tab will take you to the product overview. Select the ADI-2 DAC FS from the drop-down menu. The next step is to select the operating system of your computer from which the update should be performed. Finally you can download the latest firmware version. Windows users must first install the Flash Update Tool and the MADIface driver, which can also be downloaded via the search mask.

If not already done, connect the ADI-2 DAC FS to your computer via USB, open the downloaded folder and start the Flash Update Tool. In the dialog menu you can now see which firmware your DAC FS is running and which is the latest version. Click Update to start the firmware update. After successful installation, switch the ADI-2 DAC FS off and on again. The device is now up to date!
