AVID - Dynamic Guitar Staves in Sibelius 2022.7

Writing for guitar has always been pretty easy in Sibelius. For a long time, you could write for a solo guitar or bass in either notation or tablature, or "tab" for short. To write for both at the same time, you had to copy and paste the notes from one to the other. Fortunately, Sibelius is pretty good at this, because it takes into account the maximum stretches of the chords and even remembers the fingerings when you copy from tablature to notation and back again. However, if you make a change in one version, it won't carry over to the other, leading to manual changes and potentially lengthy searches to find differences between notation and tablature. Also, you would then have to remove unnecessary elements like dynamics or lines that are not needed in both staves - until now.

With the Sibelius 2022.7 release, AVID introduces dynamic guitar staves - a new and fast way to enter music in notation and tablature simultaneously. Best of all, we make them available in all three levels of Sibelius: Sibelius First, Sibelius Artist and Sibelius Ultimate, making it accessible to everyone.

This version is included as part of your Sibelius subscription or Sibelius update plan at no additional cost.
