CHRONOS is the powerful DAC with headphone amplifier for all mobile phones with and without built-in headphone jack. Since modern smartphones without headphone jack are offered, the favorite headphones must often stay at home. Or it turns out that the electronics built into the smartphone has too little power. Violectric has addressed this problem and presents for "Audiophile on the go" with the CHRONOS a top D/A converter in combination with a powerful headphone amplifier in a miniature housing.

The technical specifications are uncompromising with 32 bit and 384 kHz sample rate, DSD up to 256 kHz. The used high-end chip scores with a typical dynamic range of 130 dB at lowest distortion of -115 dB. At the same time, the power consumption is negligible and reduces the runtime of the connected smartphone only insignificantly. The amplifier provides a power of 2 x 30 mW to low impedance headphones.

The distinctively quality designed device measures a mere 44.5 x 24 x 10 mm. The stable and milled from solid aluminum housing with a glossy border is closed at the top and bottom by glass windows. The upper window thereby displays the modes in different colors. Whether Apple or Android, whether Windows 10 or iOS, the CHRONOS plays always and everywhere without annoying driver installation. For all connection contingencies, the CHRONOS comes with 3 adapter cables for all cases - including lightning cable!
