Special Driver Technology for Sophisticated Sound with Fine Detail
The heart of the HEDDphone TWO GT is the special AMT driver technology from HEDD Audio. The Air Motion Transformer uses a special diaphragm that is folded and set in motion by conductor tracks running inside. Air is rapidly pushed out through the folds and sucked back in, allowing a relatively small diaphragm movement to generate a high sound pressure level. In practice, this means higher efficiency, better transient response, and more dynamics than other drivers.

The ultra-lightweight, multi-layer Kapton diaphragm is three times larger than traditional dynamic, electrostatic or planar drivers. The patented Variable Velocity Transform (VVT) technology enables the reproduction of the entire spectrum from 10 Hz to 40 kHz with minimal distortion, precise dynamics and a lively stereo stage. Based on extensive user feedback, the step from the professional HEDDphone TWO to the GT version for private users was precisely tailored to the requirements of the new application: powerful bass, warm mids and a brilliant top end perfectly convey the emotions of the music.

The HEDDphone TWO GT is all about quality - in sound as well as in the choice of materials and their workmanship. The lightweight magnesium components and carbon fiber headband guarantee long-term comfort with a secure fit. The contact pressure of the GT is optimized for long listening sessions and can even be individually adjusted, while the soft cushions and adjustable carbon fiber double band system ensure a comfortable fit on the head. Two pairs of ear pads are included, giving users a choice of soft velour or supple genuine leather.

The extensive material and reliability testing has resulted in HEDD offering a rare and extended 5-year warranty on these headphones. A patent has been filed for the new, unique headband (= HEDDband) that provides users with a truly personalized, comfortable fit. HEDD has developed an intelligent band system that allows parameters such as height, width, curvature and even contact pressure to be adjusted to suit individual head shapes and tastes.
Optional upgrade to ultimate sound experience
The HEDDphone TWO GT comes with high-quality cables and adapters for use with a wide range of devices. If you really want to get the most out of the headphones, you can upgrade the accessories with the GTC Premium cable, which was specially developed for the GT. The high-purity LC OFC cable with its 760 strands is best used with a high-quality amplifier. The GTC Premium cable is also compatible with the HEDDphone TWO.
The Key to perfect Sound
To achieve a smooth frequency response across the entire audible frequency range, HEDD had to refine the original Air Motion Transformer design with new geometries and a more complex system of folds of variable sizes. HEDD calls this approach the Variable Velocity Transform - VVT.
