A complete cardioid microphone floor stand solution that provides a high quality stage vocal or instrument microphone.
This floor stand solution has an elegant and exclusive design with a black, non-reflective finish that is specifically designed to withstand the sometimes harsh environments of TV studios, OB vans, and on-stage theaters and concert halls. The floor base has a built-in shock mount solution. The threaded bolt holds the stand extension and the MMP-F Modular Active Boom. This unique design allows for a long stage microphone boom that will not swing, but will quickly stabilize once positioned.
These floor stand solutions can be quickly converted to a new configuration with no tools required. They can be paired with any other Pencil microphone capsule or preamplifier.

4098 CORE Supercardioid Microphone
CORE by DPA technology has been added to the 4098 floor-standing microphone solutions to further enhance sound quality, as with all other products featuring CORE technology. The 4098's dynamic range has been increased by 8 dB, significantly raising the 1% THD to 133 dB. With very low noise and high sensitivity, supercardioid microphones provide the clearest, most transparent and natural sound available in the miniature microphone market. The microphones are capable of handling extremely high SPLs before clipping. With a linear response, low distortion, and extremely wide dynamic range, they sound great in any environment.
This floor stand solution is available in 122 cm length.
4011 Cardioid Microphone
Using the MMC4011 cardioid microphone capsule for its directivity and attention to detail, this solution makes everything sound like the original. The first-order cardioid pickup pattern provides excellent separation between sound sources. It is equally at home miking acoustic guitars, grand pianos, overheads, percussion, wind instruments, and vocals as it is spot miking symphonies. It can handle incredibly high sound levels. A flat on-axis frequency response and excellent phase response provide faithful reproduction of the original sound. The off-axis response is similarly flat, so any leakage is an accurate reflection of the original, though attenuated according to the true first-order cardioid pickup pattern.

4018 Supercardioid Microphone
This solution uses the MMC4018 cardioid microphone capsule, which has a highly directional supercardioid polar pattern with a smooth and even off-axis frequency response. The supercardioid pattern is frequency-independent, ensuring an identical sonic color all around the microphone. The typical rear lobe heard with most supercardioids is minimized with this capsule. This makes it much more isolated, without sudden frequency-dependent peaks and dips.
