The MTRX 8 AES3 I/O is an AES3 expansion card with 16 channels (8 x 8 bidirectional) and automatic sample rate conversion.

The MTRX 8 AES3 card is a 4-stereo in x 4-stereo out, full-length PCIe I/O card, featuring automatic sample rate conversion. The MTRX 8 AES3 card ensures that all signals coming in and out of the MTRX appear simultaneously, regardless of sample rate - just like an analogue system. The MTRX 8 AES3 I/O card features a Tascam-configured 25-pin D-sub connector and also comes with a breakout cable for connecting devices with XLR AES/EBU connectors. With the Pro Tools | MTRX base, you can build a 128-channel (64x64) AES3 system by using all eight expansion ports with MTRX AES3 I/O option cards. AES3 provides audio professionals with a robust and purely digital signal path for sending and returning effects, bridging between digital consoles, power amplifiers, Dante networks and other AES-equipped audio devices.
